
Double-Take® for Linux 4.4 is now available
Double-Take® Software Engineering is pleased to announce
the availability of Double-Take for Linux version 4.4.
This version offers significant new capabilities and
improvements particularly in the areas of management and WAN support.

Feature Highlights:
Double-Take for Linux now supports
RHEL 5 in addition to RHEL 4. RHEL versions 5.0 through 5.2 on both
32-bit and 64-bit platforms were tested and are supported with this version.
The Double-Take for Linux installer
now automatically configures the SELinux security policy to enable proper
operations and protection of the customers’ data.

E-mail Notification
through SMTP and local MTA based mail servers
Double-Take for
Linux can be configured to provide event notifications via email for immediate
awareness of system issues or possible disruptions in service.

Compression
– Double-Take for Linux provides three levels of data compression over
the network
Compression reduces the data sent across the network thereby utilizing
the available bandwidth more effectively. The level of compression
can be tuned to best work with the resources available on the servers.

SNMP Support
Double-Take for
Linux can now be monitored and managed with standard network based management
tools. Double-Take will forward both replication statistics and events via SNMP
allowing simplified management by administrators.

Double-Take
for Virtual Systems activation codes are now supported
The Double-Take for Virtual Systems activation codes are now accepted
by the Double-Take for Linux product. The customer can now “mix and
match” Double-Take for Windows and Linux when purchasing Double-Take for
Virtual Systems.
