James Jordan

President

James brings over 26 years of Information Technology experience and achievement to Strategic Data Management. He is an accomplished business and IT leader who has spent his entire career creating and delivering innovative technology solutions that enable business growth and profitability. Having a comprehensive understanding of both IT and business drives his ability to strategically unite the two to increase an organization's profits and competitive advantage while reducing its costs. James has held a variety of management-level technical positions, from large companies, such as ITT Corporation, American Greetings, and Lutheran Hospital, to small technology startups. His expertise in developing and supporting solutions that helped these organizations manage, protect, and leverage their electronic information played a critical role in their overall success. Prior to founding Strategic Data Management, James served as CIO of an Indianapolis technology company that earned listings in the Inc. 500 and Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500.

James founded various roundtable groups made up of technology and business leaders from various Indiana communites. These organizations' purpose is to increase technology awareness and stress the importance of uniting technology and business cultures. The group encourages personal and professional development of technology leaders through group discussions and speakers.

James is active in many local technology groups and served as the Technology Chair of the Indiana State Association of Health Underwriters, where he led the group's technology-related initiatives.

Frank Hughes

Chief Technology Officer

Frank has over 28 years of experience in the Information Technology and System Development industries. He is responsible for providing technical guidance to Strategic Data Management’s customers, the development of the company’s technology solutions, and guiding technical business partner relationships. The last twenty years of his career have been spent with retail companies in challenging environments requiring close integration of IT with overall business strategies and practices to maximize the value that Information Technology brings to companies and their shareholders.

Frank’s career includes retail companies such as Marsh Supermarkets and Kuppenheimer Men’s Clothiers where he developed his proficiency at aligning business strategy and Information Technology strategy in very cost conscious environments. Frank began his technology career with Commodore Business Machines as an electrical engineer in research and development where he assisted in the design of some of the first personal computers.

Frank is active in local Information Technology and security groups such as Business TechNet, IndyPass, and Infragard. Frank serves on the Town of Fishers’ Telecommunications and Technology Advisory Committee and is active in the SkyWarn and RACES organizations with amateur radio.
